Hola! My name is Michael, but my friends call me Mike, so please do call me that too. I am a licensed tour guide in Peru with a degree in tourism and archaeology and a lot of passion for my culture and my country that I love sharing. This is why I love so much to be a guide and I am looking forward to welcoming you to my beautiful country to learn more about its incredible history and nature. With me, you are ensured to get a quality, authentic experience of the real Peru through the eyes of locals. I was fortunate to be born and raised in Cusco, the ancient capital of the Incas. I have been working in tourism there for over 20 years, and during that time I have also hiked the Inca Trail professionally over 500 times! The Andes mountains are my home. I like meeting people from different parts of the world. I have traveled myself mostly all over South America but not much beyond. The tourists I am lucky enough to meet and assist also give me much back in terms of learning about other cultures and perspectives. Since the start of this year I've been offering virtual tours in Cusco as well as Machu Picchu using a gimbal giving you the option to learn more about these magnificent places from the comfort of your couch. I like to share a lot of knowledge with virtual travelers to bring Cusco and Machu Picchu to life, but I also try to be as interactive as possible so that you feel like you're walking in these locations with me. Hope to meet you soon!

When I was a schoolboy I realized I really love sharing my local culture, tradition and history with others, meeting new people and making friends. I was also good at learning English. Thus, all these background made my mind up to study Tourism. In addition, I was born and raised up in a village. Then who better than me can know the local culture and history as I have grown up speaking two languages: Quechua and Spanish, the first one, is our ancestors' language (my mother language too) with about 1. 5K years of speaking widely in the Andes. I have been guiding for the last 7 years. I am so excited to be more than your Tour Guide, a friend to trust in, who can guide you through this mysterious, historical and wonderful city, showcasing you the highlighting points, touring through the places off the beaten and making your journey unforgettable as I am passionate of what I do, because 'guiding' to me is not only a job but rather, a passion to which you (your family/friends) are welcome.

Above and Way Beyond Expectations, Yoko!

Yoko was tremendously helpful both long before our custom tour and even after! She patiently answered so many questions I had as a first time visitor to Soja City/Kurashiki, Okayama in the weeks before our tour. She set up a taxi driver and helped me navigate Japanese gravesite customs. Someone in the taxi compoany even happened to know my family and where my family's grave was located! Her English is excellent and she is a caring and capable guide that w connected with so easily. Our visit to my family's grave in Soja City was magical for me, my wife, and our daughter and granddaughter. Our granddaughter asked me if she could meet a relative her age. Yoko and the ancestors made that happen. (See picture with two happy 10 year olds, one from the US, one from Soja CIty, Japan). We bid our newly found relatives goodbye and returned to Kurashiki. After a refreshing lunch, we had a wonderful (and cooling!) visit to the Ohara Art Museum and Ohara houses. After our tour, Yoko was once again such a star! My cousin wanted to visit our family grave a couple days after us. Yoko helped arrange a taxi for them and my cousin got to spend additional time with our Soja City relatives! Yoko is such a caring, generous, knowledgable and helpful guide! Words cannot express our deep gratitude to her. Our request was complex and she delivered! We cannot recommend her to you enough!

The golden tour

We had a wonderful day with Toshi. He took us to see the most interesting and famous places in Kyoto, and he also explained the cultural and historical aspects of what he was showing us, as well as aspects of life in general in Japan.

Thank you Yoshie!

I reached out to Yoshie to assist our family of 4 get from Narita Airport to Tokyo Station than onto Shin Osaka station. She was not advertising this service on her profile page but as I saw she were doing tours out of Narita I thought I would ask and she kindly accepted. Communication was prompt via email. It was raining, humid and Tokyo station was total kaos but Yoshie was cool, calm and collected. She was waiting at Narita, assisted us with a suitcase delivery service, got us to Tokyo station on Narita express and during this time gave us some tips and advice. She even gave our 2 sons some lovely gifts. There is no way in the world we would of done this ourselves in the time frame we had. Thank you very much Yoshie! If we get to experience Japan again I think we would happily take one of her tours. Best regards to you and your family Rachael, Troy, Hudson and Tully Perth, Western Australia

A Day with Takako

Our guide was a most informed and intelligent lady who provided an impressive amount of information, anecdotes, and history about Tokyo . She patiently answered all our questions in a respectful and knowing way. Takako’s manner was warm, friendly and relaxed. We never felt rushed; everything was explained and shown smoothly and knowledgeably. Our lunch was in an amazing underground restaurant whose food was beautifully prepared, and its ambience suited its proximity to the fish market and nearby market laneways. We had a great time.

I am very glad that you were satisfied with the lunch. Have nice experiences and wonderful time in Japan. See you again someday Takako
